Hopkinton Volunteer Fire Department

John Schaul, IAS Operations in Hopkinton,presented a donation to Craig Wilson, Fire Chief, and Eric Sheehy of the Hopkinton Volunteer Fire Department. The Hopkinton Volunteer Fire Department will use this donation to purchase a foam extinguisher and foam pack which will aid in fighting fuel, oil and chemical fires. The donation of $600 was matched with funds from the Land O’ Lakes Foundation for a total donation of $1200. The Hopkinton Volunteer Fire Department started in the early 1900’s and currently has 29 active firemen along with 4 cadets. The foam extinguisher and foam pack is ordered and will arrive soon. 



Elkader Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service

Innovative Ag Services presented a donation to the Elkader Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service. The Elkader Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Service will use this donation, along with many others, to build their new Fire, Ambulance and community building. The donation of $2500 was matched with funds from the Land O’ Lakes Foundation for a total donation of $5000. The Elkader Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1912 and currently has 24 members. The Elkader Ambulance Service has 18 members and was established in 1970. They plan to break ground as soon as all of the funding is secured and floor plans are approved by the USDA.

Jackson County Regional Health Center

Innovative Ag Services presented a donation to the Jackson County Regional Health Center. The Jackson County Regional Health Center will use this donation, along with many others, to purchase an ambulance. The donation of $500 was matched with funds from the Land O’ Lakes Foundation for a total donation of $1000. The ambulance service started in 1975 and is currently staffed with 20 Paramedics and/or EMTs. JCRHC was thefirst hospital in the state of Iowa to establish an in-house hospital based ambulance service. This service has expanded to become a 24 hour, 7 day a week paramedic service which covers 270 square miles, with approximately 1100 calls a years to include city and rural areas. The rigs travel over 18,000 miles annually.
