First Aid Important Part of Safety Culture

January 2, 2014  (*Administrative Office)

Monticello, IA – Innovative Ag Services Co. (IAS), there is great importance in having a First Aid Program established.  First aid refers to medical attention that is usually administered immediately after the injury occurs and at the location where it occurred. It often consists of a one-time, short-term treatment and requires little technology or training to administer. First aid can include cleaning minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches; treating a minor burn; applying bandages and dressings; the use of non-prescription medicine; draining blisters; removing debris from the eyes; massage; and drinking fluids to relieve heat stress.

IAS as you know is focused on safety but did you know we are fortunate to have a number of individuals across the company that participates voluntarily in being First Aid/CPR certified as well?  It speaks volumes to the commitment to safety our employees show.  This is a course IAS supports and funds.
