Fueling Through Winter: An Energy Market Update from IAS

Dec 15, 2025

Hello from your new man with gas!

I would like to start this with saying a huge thank you to our propane bobtail drivers, and transport drivers.  If you see them, make sure to tell them thank you as they are putting in long hours to meet the demands this winter has already thrown at us.  Long lines at terminals and feet of snow to trudge through to get to tanks make for a long winter!

As we settle into winter (more like thrown headfirst into it), the diesel and crude markets have continued to soften.  Continuous oversupply concern of crude oil has been the main driver.  If you are looking for an end-of-the-year expense by filling your diesel barrel, you will see relief in diesel prices in the coming weeks.  As for filling up your barrels for the spring planting season, historically, the prices see their best opportunity between New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day.  Have a safe and warm Holiday Season!
