Aplington Parkersburg FFA Wins IAS Community Impact Challenge

Mar 04, 2026

Innovative Ag Services is proud to announce the winners of our FFA Community Impact Challenge, an initiative designed to support student-led projects that strengthen local communities and promote agricultural education.
After nearly 2,000 community votes, the results were incredibly close. First and second place were separated by just 81 votes, showing how much support these projects received across our communities.

1st Place — $1,000
Aplington-Parkersburg FFA
Elementary Ag in the Classroom

Aplington-Parkersburg FFA earned the top spot with their Elementary Ag in the Classroom program. FFA members visit local elementary classrooms to teach younger students about agriculture, food production, and where their resources come from. Funding will help provide hands-on educational materials so the program can continue growing and inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.

2nd Place — $500
Cascade FFA
Community Garden Expansion

Cascade FFA earned second place with their Community Garden Expansion project. Students are working to expand their garden to provide fresh produce and flowers to residents, including a nearby care facility and members of the Cascade community. Funding will help purchase plants and seeds to increase the impact of this project.

Thank You to All Participants
Innovative Ag Services would like to thank all of the FFA chapters that submitted projects for the challenge. Each project demonstrated the leadership, service, and commitment to community that FFA members bring to agriculture every day.

We also want to thank everyone who took the time to review the projects and cast a vote. Your participation helped highlight the incredible work students are doing to strengthen their communities.

At Innovative Ag Services, we believe investing in young leaders is an investment in the future of agriculture. We are proud to support these students as they continue to make a positive impact across our region.
