Sulfur helps with Nitrogen use efficiency in corn. Weak/yellow areas in alfalfa fields, especially over the tops of eroded hilltops, are often sulfur deficient as well.

Sulfur in the sulfate form is very mobile in the soil so it benefits from being applied in the early, spring season!
