Innovative Ag Services Acquires Aplington, IA Grain Location

Charles City, Iowa and Monticello, Iowa – September 26, 2024—Nexus Cooperative (Charles City, Iowa) and Innovative Ag Services (IAS) (Monticello, Iowa) have reached an agreement under which IAS will acquire the Aplington, Iowa grain assets from Nexus Cooperative.

As a strong and stable agricultural cooperative, IAS is committed to supporting the success of each customer at the Aplington location. Our team is focused on ensuring a smooth transition, especially with the upcoming harvest season. With our core values centered on partnership and collaboration, we’re eager to build strong relationships with the local community and work hard to become an integral part of it,” shared Ken Smith, IAS CEO.


Given the harvest timeframe, operations will be immediately transitioned to minimize disruption to customer fall activities. IAS will honor Nexus's grain contracts and obligations at the Aplington, IA, location.


IAS will contact Aplington customers to provide additional information regarding the acquisition. Additionally, IAS leadership and grain origination staff members will be on-site at Aplington from Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, to answer any questions. Customers are also invited to join us while we grill out on Friday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
