Meet the Agronomy Intern!

Jul 22, 2022

Meet one of our Summer Agronomy Interns, Elizabeth!

Elizabeth is a junior studying agricultural business at Iowa State University. She grew up on her family's farm in Alden, IA where she raised sheep. Elizabeth's passion for agriculture stems from her involvement in 4-H and FFA. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time in the show barn, being out on the lake and hunting!

When we asked Elizabeth why she chose to intern with IAS she said, "It's close to home and I know many farmers who work with IAS and say great things. I thought it would be a great opportunity to branch into a side of agriculture I've never been a part of."

If you see Elizabeth at an IAS location or out on your operation, be sure to say hello!

Sulfur helps with Nitrogen use efficiency in corn. Weak/yellow areas in alfalfa fields, especially over the tops of eroded hilltops, are often sulfur deficient as well.

Sulfur in the sulfate form is very mobile in the soil so it benefits from being applied in the early, spring season!
