Working for You
Jul 22, 2026
Ken Smith, CEO
I see it as a great privilege to work for our membership—to work for you. With this responsibility, our team and Board of Directors work hard to provide the services, assets, and people that put you in a position to benefit. When we get this right, you share in that success. Throughout this publication, you will see how our team is working for you.
Our ethanol plant expansion is progressing well. We believe this expansion improves corn basis, creates additional corn demand, increases local jobs, and provides meaningful financial returns for our members. We are excited about the value this asset will generate for many years to come.
We are getting closer to monetizing regenerative agriculture practices. The USDA has recently provided guidance on how this program will work. By selling grain through IAS locations, you may be able to take advantage of this opportunity. Later in this publication, you will see how our team is working for you to explain what this means and how you could benefit. We believe IAS is uniquely positioned to help.
Energy and fertilizer prices will continue to be volatile. Our team is working diligently to fill and position our assets in order to maintain competitive prices for you. Having these storage assets puts you in a stronger position. Having the experienced team behind you makes a tremendous difference. It is going to be a challenging year, and our team is here to help navigate these challenges.
We are approaching the Board of Directors nomination window, with the slate of candidates to be finalized by early October. We will have three board elections this fall. The Nominating Committee members are Steve Perry, Loren Manternach, and Albert Martin. If you have an interest in serving or have questions, you are welcome to call Chairman Randy Blake, any member of the IAS Nominating Committee, other board members, or me. Your local location team can also help get you started. IAS welcomes and encourages members to consider running for the Board of Directors.
Thank you for your business and continued support of IAS. We look forward to continuing our path together, working for you.
Good days are ahead.
